London - Short Break

Just got back from a short break in London we tried to cram in as much as possible but the highlight for me was definitely the Victoria and Albert Museum including tea and scones in the beautiful courtyard. Shown here is Dale Chihuly's glass Chandelier which hangs in the main foyer.
Will definitely be going back and spending some more time there as I feel we only touched the surface of what is truly an amazing place.

It's years since I've been to the V&A but I have wonderful memories of this museum - an absolute gem of a place - lucky you!

Wow, add that to the list of places I want to go. That chandelier is gorgeous!

I love the V&A too. Was there in January and the restaurant just blew me away. Will definitely go back and check out more of the permanent exhibition.

It's one of my favourite places too, a great place to spend the day armed with a sketchbook and pen.

I had a great visit there few years ago. So much art and history, truly a delight to visit, blew me away! Wish I lived closer as I too would sketch away all day long!

I could camp in their for a month and still not see everything. I love it to bits. One of the best museums in the world.

I love the V&A. Next time you come down to London, you should pop into Sir John Soane's museum. It's a hidden gem.

Ooo I had forgotten how much I miss not having the V & a on my doorstep. I once had the chance to look round the textile store - fantastic!
Thanks for the reminder Dee
