I received a beautiful bouquet recently that included some gorgeous Protea flowers, I left them in a vase on the window sill for sometime and all the other flowers wilted and died the Proteas however have dried out and I think improved with age especially the muted colours.

I just brought myself some today, they are so lovely!
very apt for the World Cup as the protea is South Africa's national flower!
